Italy installs 2.3GW of solar in first half
In the first half of 2023, Italy will add about 2.3GW of photovoltaic system capacity, an increase of about 12% over the same period last year. As of the end of June 2023, the country's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity is about 27.4GW. Residential installations accounted for about 47% of new capacity added in the first half of this year, with recent growth driven by commercial and industrial (C&I) systems and utility-scale solar projects over 1MW in size.
