German energy start-up expected to take over Meyer Burger German factory
Recently, German energy start-up 1Komma5° proposed that if Meyer Burger’s module production plant in Saxony closes in the next few months, 1Komma5° will take over Meyer Burger’s module production. It comes on the same day that Swiss-based solar manufacturer Meyer Burger called for an emergency meeting to approve final funding for its U.S. manufacturing plant as it works to move the company's operations from Germany to the United States and close component plants in Germany.
