Maxeon intends to expand its battery module factory in the United States
Solar module supplier Maxeon has begun evaluating the possibility of expanding its U.S. production capacity through cell and module factories. In the earnings conference call for the first quarter of 2023, Maxeon CEO Bill Mulligan said that due to the opportunities in the US large-scale project market and the growth in market demand, the company is committed to expanding production capacity. The company's application to the Department of Energy's Loan Program Office entered the due diligence stage in the previous quarter.
